With it having been “World Wellbeing Week”, Our team at CancalmCBD thought we would show up late to the party and want to give you the simplest ways you can achieve a better state of well-being everyday, throughout your day! The journey to improve your well-being doesn’t have to include a huge change. Usually, it’s the small steps that ultimately add up to big change! So question… What does well-being mean to you?
Its a pretty hard-to-define, and with the hope of this blog post, I hope it equips you with the subjectivity to decide what well-being is to you and what steps can YOU take to regain control and improve it.
Your perspective of well-being may well vary over time, and just like what works for you, may not work for another. Also consider this, when in your 20s, what might have worked for you then may not work or be considered what you need when you’re in your 30s… 40s… and so on.
That is why it’s important to check in with yourself frequently to see what’s actually important to you at present.
What’s is well-being?
Well-being is deeply personal and completely subjective, it various from person to person. There is no fixed state of well-being, and therefore there isn’t a deemed “perfect” state of well-being. We at Cancalm see it as a continuum almost… with factors that may factor in one day creating a greater sense of well-being and other factors that may fit best another day, therefor giving greater life satisfaction.
These so called “factors” include; our environment, relationships with those around us, health, self-esteem, self purpose, emotions. Again not all these factors may be perfect at once.
For example, we may be in a really happy relationship but our emotions are all over the show one day… Well-being should in our eyes, therefor be viewed as always able to be improved. But how?

Well-being is more than just being “happy” and solely satisfied with life. Psychologists have attempted to define and measure well-being. Why? Because surely, this would be life changing when assessing the quality of life of an entire human population. But the complexity of well-being and lack of definiton make it next to impossible to measure!

Embrace a “flow state”
Embrace that inner child man! A child-like state of creativity is a great way to combat stress and boost your sense of well-being. A flow state is a mental state of immersion in the task at hand.
This task, of course needs to capture your attention enough but not so much so that it feels overwhelming. In other words something simple, not too challenging. Ideas of flow state tasks to try include; playing sports, playing games or getting creative.
