The obvious springs to mind… When CBD comes up in conversation there is often common misconceptions and presumptions about the effects CBD can have on you; For example, it is often presumed that CBD’s link to the Cannabis plant means it would contraindicate being focused and maintain concentration as its assumed it has effects similar to THC, this is not the case at all.
As many people understand THC (the psychoactive element of the cannabis plant) can cause a disruption to focus and concentration, people assume CBD will have this same effect. This is not the case, CBD’s chemical compound inhibits it from binding to CB1 receptors in the brain (those responsible for motivation and mood), with the same affinity as THC.
In 2018, the WHO (World Health Organisation) conducted a full review of CBD. After going through all current research with a fine tooth comb they came to the conclusion “CBD exhibits no effects in effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential” the report also stated “to date, there is no evidence of recreational use of CBD or any public health-related problems associated with the use of pure CBD”.
So we now know that CBD doesn’t appear to have any negative impact on a person’s mental capacity, the question CAN CBD IMPROVE OUR ABILITY TO FOCUS? Can be questioned…
In order to answer this, we need to identify the things that affect our ability to focus and concentrate efficiently.

So attention has clearly turned to CBD when looking for natural remedies for insomnia and stress… although there are no specific results showing CBD’s direct impact on our ability to focus, there are plenty of studies on what CBD can do to the decrease the negative impacts of the underlying factors that significantly disrupt our ability to concentrate.
